Three Peak Challenge
Buddha Land Centre has been trying to move for some time now and but finances have held us back on the properties we have tried for so far. To create a window of opportunity for our move we have established a New Property Fund and are raising money now so that we can be ready to buy once a suitable property is found.
On the 15th June we shall be undertaking the Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge as a sponsored event to make this possible. We will walk the three Yorkshire Peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough a distance of 24.5 miles including over 5000ft of climbing in one day.
Please sponsor one of the participants or join us yourself for the challenge. Your sponsorship will provide much needed funding for a move to new premises and to cover the costs of renovation work once we arrive.
£5 will fund a puja table for the gompa
£10 will fund 1sq foot of floor covering
£25 will fund an electrician's work for 1hr
£50 will fund the decorating of a small room
£100 will fund one hour of legal expenses
We are also operating a 1 or 2 peak option so if all three are too much why not join us for Pen-y-ghent (6 miles) or Whernside (8 miles). Please contact us if you are interested in attending all or part of the walk so we can provide further
