1st Impressions
Photos of our initial viewings of the building that sparked our interest in the project.
Location, location, location
Centrally positioned, next to the war memorial square and the bus station, the new building is highly visible and easily accessible both by public transport and by car.
External Features
This fine late Victorian Building was constructed in 1893 as the School Board Offices. Generally well preserved it has wealth of beautiful external features.
Public Meditation Room?
The ornate ceiling, fine views and original panelling in this room help make it a beautiful offering to the Buddhas and the people of the area - an oasis of peace for everyone to enjoy.
World Peace Café
The ground floor has simple yet beautiful rooms that lend themselves perfectly to an inclusive community café, welcoming school visits and hosting public events.
Subterranean Offices?
The extensive cellars, with specially fitted windows to let in natural light, have served as offices in the past. We are hoping to shake off their dust and reinstate their function.
