In The Footsteps Of Buddha
Saturday 6 Feb: 10am - 4.30pm
With Kadam Bridget Heyes, National Spiritual Director of the NKT for the UK.
In ancient times Buddha set out on an inner journey that was to lead him to the perfect happiness of enlightenment, confronting all his internal obstacles and perfecting all good qualities he attained permanent freedom. Since that time, millions have followed in his footsteps and have taken refuge in Buddha, in his teachings, the Dharma, and in the spiritual community, or Sangha.
In the morning Kadam Bridget will explain how we too can follow the liberating path and in the afternoon, there will be an opportunity to make a promise to go for Refuge in the company of other spiritual practitioners.
A Life Less Ordinary
Sunday 14 Mar: 10am - 5pm
With Gen Kelsang Päljin, Resident Teacher of Buddha Land Centre.
In spite of our efforts to take charge of our life and control things, we all have to acknowledge that change is inevitable and that one day we will die.
In this course Gen Päljin will explain how by fully accepting the inevitability of our own mortality we can live with real joy, and approach our life with great positivity and freedom.
